תִּי׳
תִּרְטָא, תִּי׳m. (תרט; cmp. תָּרוּט) a flat stone, quoit of a certain size, tirṭa. Ḥull.124a אפי׳ כי ת׳ (Ar. תְּרִיטָא) even (if the piece of flesh cut off with the hide in flaying be) as large as a tirṭa; B. Kam.97b אפי׳ כי ת׳ Ms. R. a. Alf. (Ms. H. תרטא, corrected תררטא, read: תריטא, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 80; ed. תרטיא, corr. acc.) even (if the new coin be) as large ?Trnsf. a market term for a certain portion of meat, a slice. Bets.29a top בסורא אמרי ת׳ ופלגו ת׳ (Rashi Ms. תריטא) in Sura they say (when asking for meat on the Holy Day, when it is not permitted to mention the price or to weigh), give me a tirṭa, or half a tirṭa.
